We all know that clothes make the man, but it’s just as important to take care of what’s under your clothes. You’ll need to put on some makeup before you leave the house in order to look your best. Not sure how to do both at once? Don’t worry, we’re here for you! Here are our tips and tricks from Anonymax for making sure that you’re rocking the perfect fashion/lifestyle/beauty/makeup combo.
In the world of fashion, where everyone is constantly trying to make a statement, it’s easy to get confused on what you should and shouldn’t wear. One thing that can help this cause is your makeup. As a beginner, you might be unsure of what makeup brands are worth investing in or how much effort is needed to maintain it all day. Or maybe you just want to know how best to apply your look not only for yourself but for others as well. If this is the case, then you’ve come to the right place! In this article, I will be explaining all the tips and tricks for getting a flawless look for yourself. But before we start, I would like to remind you that the most beautiful women are those who learn from their mistakes, so don’t forget to do your research before purchasing something new.
So let’s start off with what exactly makeup does? Simply put it corrects your face and highlights your features. Most of us have a tendency to overdo makeup, which could make you look unnatural. It doesn’t mean that all imperfections should cover up or that every single woman should have perfect skin.
Essences are meant to be used before moisturizer. Essential oils are very powerful and should always be diluted in a carrier oil (such as jojoba or sweet almond oil). They can also be mixed with a plant base oil, such as olive, sweet almond, or emu oil.
To prevent breakouts and keep your skin clear of acne, avoid using these oils if you’re already prone to breakouts.
Yeast infections are no fun, but there are ways to help your skin stay healthy and fight off that pesky infection.
Look for a product with natural ingredients, such as tea tree oil.
Cleansing wipes are awesome for quickly cleansing the face and removing makeup while you’re on the go. What’s not awesome is having breakouts afterwards because of excess oil build-up.
Make sure you only use cleanser when necessary, otherwise wash your face every day! Keeping your face clean will prevent breakouts and make it healthier overall.
Wearing makeup doesn’t mean that you have to look like a clown; in fact, it’s a great way to become more confident.
Before you begin, it is best to have all your necessities ready. This helps the process flow a lot smoother and will prevent you from having to interrupt your progress over and over again for something that could have been easily obtained beforehand. What I recommend you start with is a cleanser, toner, moisturizer, a liquid foundation or powder with its corresponding brush (flat top kabuki brush is the best in my opinion), concealer, blush/bronzer if desired, lip gloss/lipstick and mascara.
The direction of the makeup application needs to be done in a very specific order at all times. This is because the foundation applies more easily and does not rub off when your face is already powdered. Therefore, you need to start from top to bottom.
Powder: applied this after foundation
Blush: applied only after powder and before the rest of the face
Foundation: apply it in long downward strokes, like you are painting a wall
Concealer: apply this on spots where you need coverage. Never spot concealment! This will create pockets of makeup, which will look very obvious later on and will cake up if you add blush on top.
Cream/Liquid Foundation: some people might not be comfortable with applying this on top of a powder. Cream foundation tends to be more thick and you will feel like you’re wearing a mask, but it looks amazing in pictures and lasts the whole night.
About 2-3 minutes is enough for powder (if you’re using powder foundation that is) 5 minutes if you are using liquid/cream based foundation. 10-20 seconds for concealer, 1-2 minutes for foundation, 2 minutes max for blush if applying it or bronzer if going with the tan look, 30 seconds-1 minute for eyeliner + mascara, depending on how dramatic you want your eyes to look.
After the foundation is all applied, I recommend using a setting powder on top. This will help your makeup last through the night and give it a nice “glow” look. I also recommend using a setting spray for extra hold.
Lastly, we move on to the lip color/lip gloss/lipstick/lip liner/lipstick.
Bare Skin Makeup Application: Apply this all over your lips in long downward strokes Apply Blush (optional, but looks awesome) Apply Brows (optional) Apply Eyeliner (optional) Applying these steps will make you look very natural and beautiful.
After you’ve applied all your makeup, you’ve finished! Congratulations! You are ready for your big night. I hope this guide will help you make the perfect step by step, flawless look.
