This is one of my favorite pictures from the past few weeks thanks to its simple, yet elegant simplicity. I feel like I’ve been holding that picture in my mind for the past two months. While I can’t say I’m ready to give up my day job, I am thankful for the time I’ve had to work on this photo.
Okay, so the pic isn’t exactly simple. It was taken from a few feet away from a massive boulder sitting on a cliff that is about as high as my head. I had to bend down to get it in the frame. It was quite the ordeal.
So, I suppose this is one of those things that you either love or hate. I mean, it has the potential to be beautiful and great, but the fact that the photo is also a bit ugly and distracting makes me a bit annoyed.
There is a lot of beauty in that photo. It is, in fact, a very good picture. We see the sun setting behind the rock and the clouds billowing up are gorgeous. It might be a bit of a drag though because, well it takes so much time to get that shot. My best advice is to try and get those shots as fast as possible.
Don’t be so quick to dismiss a photo as ugly, it’s often the most beautiful things in life. Photography is a wonderful medium to express ourselves and share our feelings. If you have a photo that doesn’t quite match your mood, then try to figure out what is causing the difference. If your mood is dark then lighten things up and add a bit of contrast. If you like the picture, then add a bit of texture and a bit more color.
Its not always easy, but it is important to try and get the best images as fast as possible. I know that I have a terrible time getting into a photo at the last moment, so I try to get in as fast as possible, as quickly as possible, and the rest will follow.
I think the most important thing to remember about photography is that it is about capturing the moment. As long as the moment is captured right, you will have a great photo. The best photo is the one that captures that moment, and that moment happens just as it should.
So the best way to get the best photos is to pick the best moment. In a nutshell, “the best” is the moment when the subject of the image is in the best light. So if you are shooting a sunset, I highly recommend photographing that moment in the sun.
In the case of photography, the best moment is the one that is the most like me. If you try to capture your own moment in the moment, it’s going to be a mess because your brain will try to adjust to the new situation. So it’s best to capture the moment without much thought or effort.
Photography is like acting, or any other art form. An artist needs to be in the moment. That means having a specific moment, or a particular point of focus, in mind when you are drawing, painting, or sculpting. In photography, it means capturing the moment in the moment.
