For those of you who have been asking why I started blogging, here’s a hint, I enjoy photography and I love writing. But I’m just not good at it. For me, photography is a tool that helps me express my thoughts and feelings, so I love writing about writing. But I’m just not good at it. For me, photography is a way to communicate with others. For me, photography is a way to express myself.
Im not saying that there is a wrong or right way to shoot a photo. Im saying that being good at photography is different than being good at photography. You see, there are thousands of variables to consider when it comes to photography. So for those of you who have a great way to express your thoughts in a photo, I suggest you try it. But for those of you who are just being “articulate” about it, I suggest you just leave it alone.
Photography for the dummies is one of those terms that you will see used a lot over the next year, so I would encourage you to read it. The gist is that you can use photography to express yourself but that it can cause you to do things you may not want to do.
