1. “Pumped Up Kicks” by Foster the People

The song “Pumped Up Kicks” by Foster the People has been a favorite among music fans for months now. I’ve listened to it on repeat while driving, cleaning my room, and writing blog posts. You know you’re hooked when you hear the intro riff and it instantly puts a smile on your face every time. It’s an upbeat tune that’ll have you moving your feet in no time!

The lyrics reference the Columbine shooting, where two students shot twelve other people to death before killing themselves. It’s not clear whether this was a premeditated attack or if it was the result of depression that had been building for years but finally reached its breaking point.  In any case, we are left wondering what could have driven these boys to such madness.

2. “I Gotta Feeling” by Black Eyed Peas

I gotta feel, yeah I got this feeling that something’s about to happen. Yeah! This is the perfect song for when you’re at a bar or club and you’ve had one too many drinks and your friends are telling you to go home but you don’t want to because everything is going so well with the person next to you and it feels like all of this might just be worth it. There’s nothing more exciting than when things are finally turning around in your life after being stuck on pause for so long.

The song was released in 2009 and became one of the top singles of all time as well as being ranked number one on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for nine consecutive weeks. The lyrics are about how listeners should “join together” to make the world a better place, which can be interpreted in different ways depending on what you want to get out of it. Personally, I think it means coming together like never before and fighting against injustice so that we can all live peacefully.

3. “Get Lucky” by Daft Punk ft. Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers

The song “Get Lucky” by Daft Punk ft. Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers is a feel good, funky track that has been on repeat for the past few days. The catchy tune includes lyrics about how lucky the listener is to have found someone special in their life and just how much they love being around them.  This upbeat dance track is sure to get you out of your seat and onto the dance floor!

“Get Lucky” by Daft Punk ft. Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers is a song that has been in the top of the charts for weeks now and it’s not hard to see why. The catchy lyrics, upbeat tempo, and pulsing beat make this song impossible to resist. “The game of love is tough enough as it is,” they sing at one point, but if you’re feeling lucky then all you need are these simple steps: “Dance your cares away.”

4. “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars

“Uptown Funk” is a song by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars that has been featured in movies, television shows, and commercials all over the world.
